Hello Mrs. Urbach. I finally got this to work. Thank you.

More and more often we see people running around like chickens with their heads cut off. A hot topic these days is people not having enough time. The most logical way to fix this problem would be to just lighten one’s work load. But it isn’t that easy. The only way I can see to fix this problem would be to simply add more hours to the day. Sounds like a good idea, right? How simply would that be? Just add a few more hours to the day so one can get in those last minute errands. But there is a downside to everything. Add those few more hours in and people are going to try to add more things to their to do list. I guess the most logical reasoning for this would be to lighten the workload. Cutting it down to what one must do would solve everyone’s problems. People could actually relax and take some time for themselves. Now doesn’t that sound like the ideal world? Like the Walgreen’s commercial? If only that day would come. I think that would be the day pigs fly!

I think it is good ,but I think you may need to add a bit more sarcasm to it. You have your point ,yet it is entirely hit home. A bit more sarcsm will do it fine.

I agree with Jupiter on the sarcasm part. After reading other students’ satires and going over them in class today (which helped loads, thank you! :) )I realized that sarcasm is a big part of a satire. I think that my satire needs to have more sarcasm and it also needs to have more detail to it. Lengthening it wouldn’t hurt any either.

    *Revised satire*
Bag in hand overflowing with homework, dance attire, and work attire she flew out of the school into her car and away she went. Going way over the speed limit she sped to her first class of the day. Racing from classes to work while trying to fit in homework and friends and family is becoming quite stressful on her. As she was changing in her car from dance to work she thought to herself, “If there were only a few more hours in the day. I could get so much more accomplished.” She raced into work, still dressing herself, carrying her book bag exploding with books she flung the door open exasperated. This was just the beginning to her extremely long day.
Does this sound familiar? This is somewhat a typical day in the life of a teenager. Racing from one thing to another. Running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Well I have devised some solutions for these teens. Let’s just add a few more hours to the day. What harm could that do? As if we don’t all act stupid as it is because of a lack of sleep, let’s add a few more hours to the day to get even less sleep. Adding more hours will allow you to accomplish more. So let’s say that you don’t need more hours in the day, let’s just cut out sleeping. I mean honestly it’s just a waste of time. Sleeping is over-rated. Right? All it is, is a time for your body to recuperate from the day’s events. And if we cut out sleeping time I’m sure people’s driving skills would improve for sure. Accidents would be at an all time low and grades would be at an all time high. Not sleeping would give the students more time to study because we all know that is what we would all do if we didn’t need to sleep. No one would be out, everyone would be home especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
This is probably one of the best ideas yet as to how to get more time into the day. I’m thinking we can expect this to happen right around the time when pigs begin to fly. Considering technology these days though, that could be just around the corner.

I think you got it. Humor was high. Good blend of irony and sarcasm.
