ELLISON TO GRADS: DIPLOMAS ARE FOR LOSERS http://www.satirewire.com/news/0006/satire-ellison.shtml
It’s hard to believe that someone would sit there and tell them that they were losers even though they were graduationg from college. I think that all people need to go to college in order to go somewhere. There are far and few that succeed that don’t go to college.

Why is it that people today have such a low self-esteem? Confidence and satisfaction in oneself is very hard to find among these people. Most are too worried about what others think about them and not how they see themselves. There is something unique about each and every person in this world and that’s true regardless of what others around him or her may think.
Many times in school students fell pressured to be something they aren’t. Teens today make it seem that if you don’t play a sport or belong to the “cool club” then you aren’t considered to be popular.
If someone were to spend a day in a high school they would see how students have named who is popular and who isn’t. These so called popular kids can be found throughout the day making foul comments to other students that were supposedly “the losers” of the school.
It just comes to show that students really are being affected by what others have to say. They hear it from someone else and they start to believe it within themselves. Children grow up with the constant dread of being laughed at. No child should ever have to go through life like that.
Studies show kids who are affected by low self-esteem as they grow up are more likely to take rage either on himself or herself or someone else who has hurt their feelings. What is that saying to think that we might have to be afraid of those we think we are just teasing in school, when really they take it seriously?
Low self-esteem needs to be fixed in today’s society. Some suggestions to those affected would be for them to try and ignore the people who might bring their self-esteem down. The second would be for them to try not to let the small things bother them. The third suggestion would be to thick or thin to try and stay positive through everything, even though it isn’t the easiest thing to do.

i agree, most people today really do have low self-esteem. the problem is very aparent in everyday life. finding solutions to this problem is very difficult if not impossible. the suggestive solutions are good, but they may need more emhpasis, unless you wanted the tone of the paper to be more explaining the problem than trying to solve it, in which case you did a good job.

My satire that I wrote wasn’t in the correct form. My satire isn’t really funny and has no sarcasm or humor in it. I just wrote about how I thought self-esteem affected people today. Although, I do think I showed a problem with solutions.

Who ever said that cheating doesn’t get you anywhere is wrong. Cheating is definitely the best route in getting yourself where you want to be. It is an easy thing to do in school, so it makes the idea of doing it worth your while.
The best times to cheat are when you’re in a jam, and there is no other way out. You can cheat on just about anything and get away with it. It’s so hard to ever catch a person that is cheating.
Parents today should be encouraging their children to cheat. How else are they ever going to amount to anything? Kids need to know that, and they should hear it from the people who can really influence them to do it.
Cheating gives you more time to do what you really want to do. You don’t have to take the time to study all those long hours for a test because all the answers will be right there for you. You’ll have free time to do what you want to do, or you are able to just be lazy. It will especially help with the stress factor since you won’t have to be so stressed out.
Don’t waste your time to do work when you could just take someone else’s paper and copy their work. So what if they had to spend loads of time working on it; they should share it with you because they might need the favor in return some day.
Cheating will take you to success in this world, there’s no doubt about that. All that you have to do is be nice so that all of your peers will let you copy their papers, or they will let you cheat off of their tests. It is definitely a good habit to pick up on for the future.

I would say that I couldn’t really relate to the experience in your satire. I’ve never had to worry about dogs doing their business in my yard because there are only like two of my neighbors that have dogs. I think your satire has humor and you are showing irony because who would want dog crap in their yard?

In society today winning is everything. The only way to win an election, race, or event is by cheating. Intelligence in the world is so great because there are so many cheaters.
The best times to cheat are when you’re in a jam, and there is no other way out. You can cheat on almost anything and get away with it. It’s so hard to ever catch a person that is cheating. They are always sneaky and conniving.
Parents today should be encouraging their children to cheat. How else are they ever going to amount to anything? Kids need to know that, and they should hear it from the people who can truly influence them to do it.
Cheating gives you more time to do what you actually want to do. You don’t have to take the time to study all those lengthy hours for a test because the answers will be right there for you. You’ll have spare time to do what you want to do, or you are able to just be lazy. It will especially help with the stress factor, and you won’t have to be so stressed out.

Cheating will take you to success in this world, there’s no doubt about that. All that you have to do is be polite so that all of your peers will let you copy their papers, or they will let you cheat off of their tests. It is definitely a good routine to pick up on for the future.
