I found this article interesting because I am also Roman Catholic. I don’t agree with this article however, because I feel there are more priests that you don’t have to worry about, then those that you have to worry about.
I found this article to be funny, since it was encouraging students to drop out of Yale. It said that college dropouts such as: Bill Gates, Paul Allen, and Michael Dell were all very successful. So, basically it is telling students that they don’t need school to be successful.

Time Management
“Do you ever wish there are more hours in the day,” Chuck asked.
Wendy replied, “Of course I wish there were more hours in the day with everything I have going on.”
Chuck suggested, “We should just add a few hours to the day, but since we can’t I think I well just start sleeping less each night.”
“That’s not such a bad idea,” Wendy said, “Except I need my eight hours of sleep.”
Chuck said, ” Well I know your body needs sleep to recover, but I just have so much to do each day and I don’t know of any other way to make time.”
As Wendy agreed, “I know how you feel, I am either at work, making dinner, cleaning the house, or driving the kids to where they need to be.”
“Wow!” Chuck exclaimed, “You do have a lot to fit into your day. I just have school, sports. and a few chores around the house, and I feel swamped.”
Wendy said, ” Well it seems like you have quite a bit to do yourself, so we are both in the same boat.”
As they continued talking, they both decided to try to cut out a little bit of sleeping time and try to find more time during the day for themselves.

No, I don’t believe my satire is in the right form. It is not as sarcastic as it could be and it does not make the problem out to be such a big deal. I can make the tone more sarcastic and emphasize the problem. I now understand how to revise my satire to make it better.

Seniors are you finding that there is just to much time on your hands? Being a senior in high school has to be the longest days of our lives. I mean after the short hours spent at school, there is never any homework to finish. You can look forward to spending just a few minutes at sports practices. Whether it be volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, softball, or track you find something to fill your big time gap with. Then of course there are few hours spent at your high paying part-time job. Let’s not forget the weekends which normally consist of plenty of time for hanging out with your friends because as seniors we do not have to go on any college visits or fill out numerous paperwork to prepare for college. We as seniors have to hope that the future has many more exciting and fulfilling events to come after this year to rid ourselves of the constant boredom.

I liked this satire because I can relate with it, and I wrote something similar. The sarcastic wit used to suggest there’s never enough to do in our student life is well-done. I think it is more well done than the first in this way.

Seniors are you finding that there is just too much time on your hands? Being a senior in high school has to be the longest days of our lives. Every school year just flies by except for our senior year, this year it is taking forever for graduation to come. I mean after the short hours spent at school, there is never any homework to finish. It’s just all the teachers are so nice and give us enough class time to finish all our work. You can look forward to spending just a few minutes at sports practices. Whether it be volleyball, soccer, football, basketball, softball, or track you find something to fill your big time gap with. The coaches never yell at you or push you to work harder. Then of course there are few hours spent at your high paying part-time job. You give very little effort to earn so much money to be able to buy everything you want. Then if your parents are like mine, they never make you do any chores. My mom always cleans my room and does all the laundry. Let’s not forget the weekends which normally consist of plenty of time for hanging out with your friends because as seniors we do not have to go on any college visits or fill out numerous packets of paperwork to prepare for college. We as seniors have to hope that the future has many more exciting and fulfilling events to come after this year to rid ourselves of the constant boredom.
